By Joining the IWGB Foster Carer Branch you are not only gaining the truly independent support for you role as a Foster Carer but also joining the fight for worker status and proper terms and conditions of employment. Once these rights are secured through the courts, we will be approaching local authorities to ensure these rights are properly applied to our members. the case for worker status will be heard in 2018 so miss your opportunity to be afforded the rights and status you deserve.
Membership of the Foster Care Workers branch of the IWGB is £9/month for the first foster carer in a household, and a discounted rate of £1/month for other foster carers in the same household.

*Please be sure to sign where it says ‘signature’ on BOTH sides of the form. This is crucial to the successful processing of your membership request. If there are bits on the form that you don’t understand just leave them blank and we will call you directly for further information from you – just make sure you do the two signatures!

Failure to make payments: please be aware that if you fail to make payments to the union we may not be able to help you if you need immediate assistance.
Fees collection: the union collects your membership fees from your account on the 2nd day of every month therefore is important that you have sufficient founds available on your account on those dates as otherwise your membership may be cancelled automatically.
Change of bank card or account details: please make sure to inform the union as soon as possible if you have changed any of these details as otherwise this may stop payments being collected from your account.
